Intramural Hematoma CT Findings

• Crescentic hyperattenuating fluid collection
• Thickened aortic wall
• Aortic wall is smooth and does not enhance
• Focal ulceration from true lumen is common
• Sometimes easier to appreciate on non-contrast CT
• Can resolve over time in select patients
